Vacancies for Vestavia Hills City Schools are posted on the Alabama State Department of Education's HireTrue website. Please visit the link and follow the instructions to complete the online application. Once your application is complete, you will be able to apply for positions in which you are interested as vacancies are posted. No other action is necessary for the application process unless contacted by Vestavia Hills City Schools.
Certified Teachers and Administrators
Applicants for certified and administrative positions should attach college transcripts and a current resume with their online application.
Classified Employees
Classified positions are those that do not require a teaching certificate. Examples of such positions include personnel in maintenance, clerical, the Child Nutrition Program, instructional support aides, school nurses, and other support staff. Classified positions are also posted for applicants on the ALSDE HireTrue website.
Bus Driver Requirements
Anyone 21 years of age or older wishing to drive a school bus in the state of Alabama must obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) issued by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency as well as certification to drive an Alabama School Bus through the Alabama State Department of Education. Qualified candidates who may be a good fit for each open position will be contacted to discuss their interest and qualifications.
