We would like to let you know about some improvements we are making to our school and district communications for the upcoming school year. Beginning in July, Vestavia Hills City Schools will be using ParentSquare as the provider of our communication platform.

With ParentSquare, you will be able to customize when and how you receive school newsletters and daily announcements. You’ll have the ability to choose whether to receive those messages via email, text message, or the ParentSquare mobile app and whether to receive them instantly or in a single, daily digest. Urgent messages — such as school closures and schedule changes — will still be sent to you immediately via the phone numbers and email addresses you provided us during registration.

You will soon receive an invitation email to activate your ParentSquare account. When you receive it, please be sure to click on the link to activate your account and set your communication preferences. It takes less than a minute. You can also download the free ParentSquare app for iPhone and Android to receive messages via mobile app. However, you are not required to have a smartphone to use ParentSquare.
