It has been said that a budget is the “financial expression of the philosophy of a school system.” The 2024-25 Vestavia Hills City Schools budget reflects our commitment to our mission to provide every student the opportunity to learn without limits. With that in mind, through the budget process, we work to demonstrate that our expenses are aligned to the goals of our strategic plan.
Our first goal is that students experience learning in profound and meaningful ways that meet the expectations of teachers, parents, and the community. Our second goal is to support the well-being of our students by strengthening their ability to confront the challenges they will encounter in school and life. Our third goal is to have systems and staff in place to effectively carry out this work in our schools.
As you study the budget, you will see our commitment to, and investment in, our excellent staff, educational programs, and critical operations. These three areas are the foundation for how we strive to work toward our mission and accomplish our goals.
